In his video on why gen AI is “bad” for art, or we cannot compare to other AI usages, he mentioned how current products/companies target media generation are trying to replace the whole process (i.e. Sona to produce music, etc) instead of their services being part of the artist’s toolbox.
For instance, regarding code generation, we have Cursor (fork of Vscode) which does kinda the same thing. Better yet in this fashion, how Co-pilot was introduced. Software like Lovable though seeks to eliminate this toolbox altogether.
