How it started

I got curious about Neovim after one of my profs suggested that, and he’s even using it as a front-end dev. I’m mentioning this because VSCode seems like the best editor for front-end development specifically.

The learning curve seems atrocious.

My experience with trying out touch typing kinda got lost when I got to learn how to type the “w” letter and realize I can’t move my ring finger independently.

It’s addictive to watch YouTubers speaking out about Vim and their experiences. But I’m still stuck at the moment,,

I’m super keen on customization so this would take a while too.

How it’s going

It’s crazy how this text editor changed my life, and not only the workflow and development part. I love using the terminal and move so fast between code and windows too. tmux-cheatsheet is such a great piece of software.

I use nvchad for now, which, yeah lame etc. but it was a much easier way to start using Neovim for my own project, thanks to this video I’d like to write my own config in the future using the Kickstarter project from TJ.
