Povestea de dragoste centrală este dură, și sfâșietoare.
Chiar și așa, unele acțiuni mi se păreau justificate în contextul regimului politic, atunci când e nevoie să lupți pentru a putea supraviețui ziua de astăzi.

Summary
The story centers around Cristina, a girl from (I forgot the name of the town) in high-school under Ceaușescu in 1979. The story spans for 10 years. She is good at English, would like to continue writing She has a friend Nana who she loves - both of them are lesbians, to which they admit later.
Finish school, Nana goes to study in Bucharest to become an actress. Before that, Cristina s-a cuplat cu fratele Nanei la un trip la munte ce au organizat o data. Before that, N & C did kiss etc. and somehow revelead certain feelings and said no man will come between them. Well. During that trip Nana slept with a young doctor that also came. Cristina was upset, hence the Radu thing.

When later on Nana asked why, Cristina told her that Ștefan, her child, is not Radu’s. This created a big drift and they did not keep in touch, despite loving each other.
While hiding from the police one Șerban and his boyfriend Marleen from the Netherlands. I like the scene here where she had to admit she was a lesbian. Thanks to them also, she later on evaded to Paris after a show in Serbia (?). The road took a month. There she met Yvonne but she was still thinking of Cristina.
Last part of the book: Cristina meets with Bela, a colleague The next morning she dies at sunrise walking through the forest.
